I met Shannon many years ago when we were both teachers at a magnet school in Raleigh, NC. In the first few years of the business, she hired me to photograph her daughter – then just a newborn. Hard to believe how fast time has gone… I hadn’t seen her for a while so it was such a lovely surprise when she contacted me to photograph her family. This is why I love my job. It affords me the opportunity to reconnect again and again with old friends and to watch their children grow. She was worried about how they would do at the family session, but -as you can see- they belong in front of a camera. I haven’t met a kid yet who doesn’t love running around in a park for an hour. Plus this session was immediately following the lifting of Covid restrictions so I think we were all excited to be liberated again. I miss those fall colors already!
