Last September, I met David and Alexandra for their engagement session at Duke University in Durham, NC. It was the kind of day that allowed us to have the best of both worlds: A beautiful sun-filled, summer vibe and a down-to-earth fall feeling. Since the couple was engaged in Maine in an intimate surprise with friends and family, it was the perfect solution and represented the couple well. They are such a sweet couple: compassionate and gentle. They take time to listen to one another and soak in the moment.

I was sad this past weekend when I was sick with Covid so I was unable to attend their wedding. I had been looking forward to working with them again this year. I had some incredible associates photograph the day so I know the images are amazing, but I would have loved to have spent more time with the couple and their family. I love when a bride has an appreciation for photography and Alexandra loves film. So I am thankful I was able to have this time with them.
