The Chapel Hill, North Carolina wedding of Brendan & Ellen at Rock Quarry Farms was the perfect way to end my 2014 wedding season. The blue skies and cooler fall temperatures complimented the gorgeous farm wedding designed by Amanda at A Swanky Affair. It’s hard to choose just a few favorite parts of the day. I loved Brendan’s choice of casual, vintage-inspired loafers and leather suspenders and the simple elegance of the bridesmaids individual lace dresses in a variety of cream colors. I adored the blue chevy vintage truck and the stunning bouquet of flowers from Tre Bella Flowers. Ellen’s dress was absolutely to die for… and her red lips stole the show. I loved their signature cocktail named after their beloved dog, Marvin and I couldn’t believe the amount of pastries and yummy goodness that their family made for the reception! It definitely added a homegrown flavor! So many sweet details made this wedding absolutely lovely.
But – as always- my absolutely favorite part of the day was watching the beginning of Ellen and Brendan’s marriage. They have the kind of relationship you hope for your own children. It is built on a strong foundation and you could tell as soon as Ellen saw Brendan during their First-Glimpse that all of her anxiety melted away. They are definitely best friends. Many people attested to their loving personalities and strong commitment to one another during the reception toasts. It was such a sweet day and I am completely honored to have had the opportunity to document it.
Congratulations, Ellen & Brendan!!
